In relation to the legendaries though, I saw that they're doing an overhaul on how they scale with scrolls and their affixes. I was really curious about that damage scaling since, when I first began in 0BC, many guides and even some videos listed not getting too many scrolls (or at least, not the ones in your category) so the enemies won't become as buffed later in the run. ![]() In the past, I ignored any scrolls that didn't include my "main" one, but I soon realized that the more scrolls, the better anyways. Therefore it might be worth it to deliberately spend a few scrolls on whatever you're not focusing on once you're sure that nothing could ever possibly stand up to your outrageous damage output (you'll definitely lose a lot of damage, but if you're already one-shotting anything short of a boss, then an additional 50% HP will probably be the bigger boon) Ahhh, that's immensely helpful then. Now this second strategy can give massive returns (as in by the time I'd gotten to High Peak Castle during a 4 BSC Damned run earlier today where I focused on Brutality first and Survival second, my legendary Repeater Crossbow had a critical damage that almost matched that of a Cursed Sword I found), but forgoing a stat entirely can result in losing out on a ton of max health. Therefore it might be worth it to deliberately spend a few scrolls on whatever you're not focusing on once you're sure that nothing could ever possibly stand up to your outrageous damage output (you'll definitely lose a lot of damage, but if you're already one-shotting anything short of a boss, then an additional 50% HP will probably be the bigger boon) But if I am counting on getting a legendary whose damage is worth boosting into the stratosphere, then I'd probably pick Survival as my main stat, just like last time, but invest everything else into Brutality So I typically go into one of two modes of stat assignment: either way, I sink as many stat boosts as possible into my primary damage stat, and with the remaining stat boosts, I either pick whichever stat gives me the biggest health boost or put most or all of them into a single other statįor instance, if I don't feel like trying my luck with a legendary weapon for whatever reason, or health is just really important to me this run, I'll typically focus on Survival, then alternate between Brutality and Tactics depending on which one the level-up screen says gives the most health relative to my current max health. I recall actively testing this with a friend of mine, where he seemed to take about twice as much absolute damage in the Toxic Sewers as in the Prisoner's Quarters regardless of stats, if I remember correctly So then, how does the game scale those things if they're not dependent on those? Through how many biomes you have traveled?Īlso, never thought of alternating in 2 colors instead of evening both off colors, that's a great tip, thx :DI'm pretty sure that enemy damage depends solely on how far into the game the biome you're in is. At least, that's what I heard from videos and guides. Wait, they don't? i thought that they did to balance out the increase in damage with enemies' health/damage. ![]() (Legendaries scale with the TWO highest colors instead of just one.) So yeah, either put it in the one that will give you the most health, or focus on one off-color so you can have much more powerful Legendary weapons.
